Copenhagen

Possibly one of the coolest cities in Europe to visit- Copenhagen is the centre of Nordic style. Forget the hustle and bustle, Copenhagen is buzzing yet laid back place to be, where its natives embrace the little pleasures in life and simply the enjoyment of lovely things, known as ‘Hygge.’ This is reflected in the look, feel of the city- its trendy cafés are quietly cool, cycling around is the norm, and its architecture is ergonomic rather than in your face. Plus, the city is compact, making it super easy to explore its corners, even on a short break!

1-Dine out! Copenhagen has quickly become a hub of world-class restaurants and eateries. With over 15 Michelin Star restaurants, there’s plenty of choice for a swanky meal, or if you’re on slightly more of a budget, there’s a whole host of exciting haunts to grab a bite.

2-Feel trendy! Few nations have such a knack for effortless cool. Copenhagen is filled with trendy individuals, interesting spaces, sustainable architecture, galleries and its world-famous furniture and lighting. It is a city of endless visual pleasure!

3- Take a crash course in culture! Walking the city’s streets is sure to give you a good dose of culture, but to learn more about Denmark’s history, head to the Nationalmuseet, which displays Denmark’s history from the Ice Age to present day. To take in some art and sculpture, head to Thorvaldsens Museum.

4- Visit Tivoli! Tivoli is one of Denmark’s most famous attractions: you’ll never visit a prettier theme park! Whether you want to be thrilled by fairground rides, or experience a concert in pretty landscaped gardens, Tivoli will not disappoint!

5-Get wholesome! One aspect of ‘Hygge’ is connecting with nature. Hiring a bike and cycling around the city and checking out its many green spaces is a lovely way to spend the day. In the summer, join the locals in taking a refreshing dip in the city’s canals.
