Mahon Prifddinas garismatig Menorca

Hediadau uniongyrchol o Gaerdydd i Mahon

Mahon yw prifddinas Menorca, ac er ei bod yn fach, mae’n llwyddo i foddhau twristiaid bob blwyddyn gyda’i diwylliant a’i hanes. Yn yr 1700au cynnar, meddiannwyd Menorca gan y Prydeinwyr, a gwelir y dylanwad hwn yn glir o hyd ar strydoedd Mahon. Ym Mahon, bydd ymwelwyr yn gweld pensaernïaeth draddodiadol Sbaenaidd wedi ei chyfuno â phensaernïaeth Brydeinig y 18fed ganrif - croesfrid unigryw sy’n rhoi hudoliaeth ychwanegol i’r ddinas.

Mae’r cyrchfan hwn hefyd yn gartref i’r porthladd naturiol mwyaf yn ardal Môr y Canoldir, ac mae’r porthladd yn ganolfan wych i weld y cychod, cyfarfod â’r bobl leol a blasu’r awyrgylch. Pan fydd ymwelwyr wedi mwynhau Mahon, dim ond taith fer allan ohoni sydd ei hangen i ddatguddio traethau hardd a dyfroedd gloyw Menorca, gan olygu bod Mahon yn ganolfan wych ar gyfer mwynhau seibiant dinas a thraeth.

Mae popeth ar gael ym Mahon, sy’n ei gwneud yn gyrchfan ddelfrydol ar gyfer teuluoedd a chyplau sy’n chwilio am enciliad Sbaenaidd.

  1. Cymryd cyntun. Mae Menorca yn anhygoel o hamddenol, felly cofiwch ei bod hi’n boblogaidd cymryd seibiant rhwng 1pm a 5pm. Golyga hyn y bydd y rhan fwyaf o’r siopau yn cau yn ystod y cyfnod hwn.
  2. Siopa yn y marchnadoedd. Mae marchnadoedd ardderchog ar gael ym Mahon, gan ei gwneud hi’n gyrchfan gwych ar gyfer siopa. Cadwch eich llygaid yn agored am y farchnad awyr agored ar y prif sgwâr yn Placa Esplanada – mae yno amrywiaeth o gofroddion, gemwaith a dillad ichi bori drwyddynt.
  3. Mynd i’r Amgueddfa. Os hoffech wybod mwy am Fenorca a’i threftadaeth, ewch i Mesu de Menorca, sydd ychydig heibio i’r prif borthladd ac sy’n cael ei gynnal mewn cyn-fynachdy.
  4. Blasu’r môr. Mae gan yr ynys fwyd môr blasus mewn llawer o fwytai, ac felly mae’n bendant yn werth mentro o’ch gwesty i brofi’r coginio lleol.
  5. Yfed diod Brydeinig. Mae hyn yn gyfeiriad arall at y meddiant Prydeinig yn y 18fed ganrif gan y distyllir gwirod ym Mahon a’i wneud yn ddiod boblogaidd ar yr ynys. Yfwch beth gyda’ch cinio a sawrwch flas Menorca!

I would on reflection spend more time in Mahon as it is good for shopping too, it has a huge market on Tuesdays during the summer season with lots of leather goods at rock bottom prices and great places to eat and drink!

We did the half day Boat trip around Mahon Harbour, which included a visit to a Gin Distillery and a few hours in Mahon town, which was really nice.

There are many pretty beaches and harbours dotted around the island that would be accessible if you had the advantage of a car at your disposal to get around.
