JOB ROLE:  QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health & Environment) Officer

REPORTING TO: Head of QSHE

HOURS: 37.5 per week

Cardiff Airport is recruiting a QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health & Environment) Officer who will support the Head of QSHE in providing a proactive service across the Airport community.

You will be required to deliver a comprehensive support function and will also be required to set up recording and monitoring systems, develop policies and procedures where identified and respond to routine QSHE queries.

You will need to have a good level of general education, previous Health, Safety and Environmental experience and the ability to work to demanding time lines. You will also be required to build great working relationships with both internal and external companies.

The purpose of your role:

To deliver a quality foreign exchange service, maximising profitability whilst meeting and exceeding customer needs. Maintaining and adhering to company compliance, controls and procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • To provide outstanding customer service by placing the interests of the customers first and aiming to exceed customer expectations.
  • To build a rapport with customers to maximise repeat business.
  • To listen to the needs of the customer and promote products and services at every opportunity.
  • To operate a till with no discrepancies.
  • To follow company and compliance procedures.
  • Reconcile and process POS Slips.
  • Update daily exchange rates.
  • To operate efficiently and accurately a foreign exchange till.
  • To count efficiently and accurately large amounts of money.
  • To participate in and encourage generating new ideas for maximising revenues.
  • To demonstrate full commitment in achieving personal goals and the goals of the team and organisation.

 

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have excellent numeracy skills and a minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths.
  • Experience of handling money in a customer facing environment.
  • Brilliant communication and an aptitude for learning.
  • Must be flexible

HOURS:                                4 on, 4 off shift pattern – 12 hour shifts

A number of full time, seasonal positions have become available within the Car Park Team at Cardiff Airport for the role of Meet & Greet Driver who will report to the Car Parks Manager. The primary objective of these positions is to provide a first class Meet & Greet car parking service for the airport.

The post holder will ensure that all vehicles are moved, parked and delivered back to the customer with extreme attention to detail in terms of location, timing, cleanliness and service standards.

You will have a good general level of education, have previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment and have great communication skills.  You will be used to working in a busy environment and be able to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team. A full clean driving license is essential.

The airport operates on a 24/7 basis and flexibility and commitment will be required to attend at short notice for operational reasons, for example, special events and adverse weather conditions.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a Criminal Record check to comply with Department for Transport regulations.
